see The Ground Truth

The Ground Truth: After the Killing Ends
an impactful 2006 documentary by Patricia Foulkrod about Iraqi war vets-turned-war-protesters. it's preaching to the converted for me, but I think it will prove enlightening to many 'mericans who have no source of information about the purpose of the war beyond the numbers game from the mainstream media.

and while you're at it, have a look at

Occupation: Dreamland
a 2005 documentary (Ian Olds, Garrett Scott) made in Al-Falluja, Iraq, during the war, following one infantry squad. no wonder the vets are asking why are we there?

but don't stop there; get the political background for 'merica's love of war with

Why We Fight
this 2005 Eugene Jarecki documentary lays out the history of the economy-driving juggernaut known as the military-industrial complex. turns out 'merica goes to war to support its economy. surprise!

Oops, I just recommend The Ground Truth in a comment on your The Corporation post. But hey, it's worth repeating! :)

I haven't seen the other two. I've heard "Why We Fight" is excellent, tho.
